A Rent and La Bohème mashup!
This Fall, Viva Vocalists will workshop a show combining Rent and the opera upon which it was based, La Bohème into an original production. We will work on acting, rehearsal techniques, character development and more!
Viva Vocalists is a great way to add larger roles to your resume if you are an “in between” performer- newly graduated from college or trying a new art form for an experienced voice. If you are new to performing, smaller roles are available and you will learning by doing! There are many available roles suitable for theater/pop voices or operatic/classical voices (Rodolfo and Rodger are pre-cast).
If you are new to Viva Vocalists, an audition is required. If you are a returning student and wish to be considered for any role in the La Bohème scenes, please indicate that and we will assign you a section of the opera to learn for a short audition. We will be looking for musical accuracy, classical vocal technique, and ability to learn music independently.
If you have questions about Viva Vocalists or would like to schedule and audition, please email or call: firstname.lastname@example.org 206-465-0146
